I'm not sure what happen to the Avatar setting but it could have been due to a problem with the site some time ago. I've reset the Avatar settings and increased the size allowed to 130 x 130. I just uploaded my Avatar and it appears to be working correctly now. If you have problems with your Avatar please let me know.
